This is the first year I have joined this Open Spaces – an artist-led global initiative that transforms everyday spaces into vibrant platforms for creativity. I join it with both a small local exhibition and an online exhibition. In honour of the Hospices de Beaune’s Vente de Vin that takes place every November, all the art is wine related and the overall exhibition is titled ‘In Honour of Wine’.

The local mini exhibition is at our one and only Chez Coco in the centre of Bligny-les-Beaune, 21200, France. You can enjoy a cup of coffee/tea or a snack or a drink while appreciating some art. Here you’ll find some colourful paintings before my recent move to monochrome. All available for sale – full details to be added soon.
Lots of people stop in Beaune on their way to the Alps or to the south of France, and it’s not a detour to come to Bligny, have a refreshment, plus the owner and staff are delightful. Bligny-lès-Beaune is only a 4km easy and quick drive from Beaune and it’s also quick and easy to return to the motorway.
Artworks exhibited at Chez Coco can be purchased directly from me either in person or online. For the duration of the exhibition only, they are being offered at a special price.
The second part of the exhibition will be online, on this page with some live guided tours of the drawings. This will be on the walls of my home and studio, also in Bligny-les-Beaune. All artwork is wine related and this part of the exhibition is from my recent project Une Année au Coeur des Domaines en Bourgogne. Drawn in charcoal on paper with the focus on the people working in the vineyards, cellars and offices to bring you a bottle of fantastic wine to enjoy.
